JOB TITLE:

Ductwork Fabricator & Cladding Installer

JOB DESCRIPTION:

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Fabricator and Installer specializing in ductwork and cladding systems. You will be responsible for creating, assembling, and installing high-quality metal components for various construction and HVAC projects.

Key Responsibilities:

Fabrication & Assembly:

• Measure, cut, bend, and shape sheet metal to construct ductwork and cladding panels
• Operate machinery such as guillotines, rollers, press brakes, and welding equipment
• Assemble duct sections, fittings, and cladding components according to specifications
• Install ductwork and cladding systems on-site, ensuring proper alignment and sealing

Quality Control:

• Inspect fabricated parts for accuracy, durability, and compliance with industry standards
• Ensure all work meets safety regulations and project requirements

Material Handling:

• Select appropriate materials (steel, aluminum, insulation) for each job
• Manage inventory and report material shortages or defects

Collaboration:

• Work closely with engineers, project managers, and other tradespeople
• Follow blueprints, schematics, and verbal/written instructions

Qualifications & Skills:

Experience:

• Minimum 2+ years experience in duct installation and fabricating
• Proven experience as a ductwork fabricator, cladding installer, or similar role
• Familiarity with HVAC systems and/or architectural metalwork

Technical Skills:

• Proficiency in using fabrication tools (welding machines, rivet guns, plasma cutters)
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and CAD designs

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift heavy materials (50lbs/23kg) and work at heights or in confined spaces
• Comfortable standing, bending, and kneeling for extended periods

Work Environment:

• Workshop-based fabrication with occasional on-site installation
• Exposure to loud noises, dust, and varying temperatures
• PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) required at all times
