At Northpower, safety and reliability are at the heart of everything we do. We're looking for a qualified Test Technician to join our high-performing Test Team, making sure our equipment is tested, certified, and compliant, so our crews can operate safely and confidently.
About the Role:As a Test Technician, you'll be responsible for inspecting and testing Northpower's equipment in line with statutory and safety requirements. This is a hands-on role that involves extensive travel across New Zealand, working closely with internal teams, suppliers, and service providers.
You'll play a crucial role in maintaining safe operations for our contracting teams nationwide.- Perform inspection and testing of equipment to meet regulatory and safety standards
- Record results and update equipment details in Q-Pulse
- Liaise with regional coordinators and external service providers to schedule testing
- Promote safe practices and maintain Northpower property and testing tools
- Identify opportunities for process or safety improvements
- Registered NZ Electrician (EWRB) with a current practicing licence
- Hold a class 1 full NZ driver's licence
- Strong organisational and planning skills
- Clear communicator – both written and verbal
- A positive attitude and a strong commitment to safety and customer service
- Willingness and ability to travel extensively across NZ
