Casual Customer Service Assistant
About the role

Join us as a Customer Service Assistant, providing world class service to all our visitors and customers as they pass through Auckland Airport during our peak travel period!
This is a casual contract position working on a rotational roster with various shift patterns depending on busy times of day, so you will need to be able to work these hours and have reliable transport to apply.
Your key responsibilities are:
- Caring for our visitors and customers, ensuring each person who leaves wants to return! To do this, we find timely and effective solutions for visitors and customers and communicate these with confidence.
- Provide a safe environment for everyone at Auckland Airport, which will mean reporting lost and found items, following security protocols regarding unattended bags as well as helping our teams always ensure the safe use of our buildings.
- We assist with the presentation of our terminal facilities. This includes proudly walking through the terminals making sure all facilities are hygienic, clean, and safe to use.
- Airports can often be stressful for those travelling, so we work hard to help our guests feel relaxed. We aim to create an experience that is positive, reassuring, and respectful.
- We assist with daily operational requirements, especially in the event of disrupts, always ensuring that our guests come first, and they have access to information which will allow them to make informed decisions.
What you’ll bring to the role

To ensure your success in this role, you will need:
- Experience working in front line customer service environments is preferred
- A customer service ethos where your initiative and can-do and will-do attitude is on display
- A highly motivated, lively, and outgoing personality with a very positive outlook
- Being passionate about delivering a customer focussed service
- Reliable transport
- Physically fit (ability to lift luggage of +20kgs) and able to stand for 7+ hour shifts
- Ability to use electronic resources such as tablets and mobile technology
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English
- Ability to speak a second language will be highly valued
- A high standard of reliability and integrity
