You will be responsible for:
- Build capability of the team
- Develop a team that has a high level of ownership and accountability
- Organising and allocating work to personnel
- Supervising and directing activities within the spheres of your operations
- Provide direction, coaching and feedback to operators on their performance
- Conduct performance appraisals with operators to encourage improvement and growth
- Develop process improvements
- Ensure all glass meets compliance standards
- Provide direction and leadership in the resolution of technical, production related and quality problems to assure completion
- Reinforce and nurture the company culture in daily interactions and decision making
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure customers’ orders are on time
- Drive to ensure that human safety and the environment is always proactively protected and are leading priorities within the business
The successful candidate will have the following:
- Previous experience in a supervisory or Leadership role is not essential but would be considered an asset
- Ability to plan, organise and prioritise work
- Ability to coach and develop individuals within a high paced manufacturing environment
- Ability to recognise and close gaps, to continuously chase improvement and excellence
- Exceptional problem-solving skills
- Confidence using computers
- High attention to detail and accuracy to produce orders to required specifications
- Ability to work effectively and communicate across multiple levels and departments
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- Happy to work Afternoon shifts.
