The Opportunity

We're looking for anR&D Projects Managerto join our team at our Newmarket Head Office. Some travel to other sites and regions may be required.

This role plays a critical part in driving our business priorities by leading the development, re-engineering, and launch of new products across all commercial portfolios - Branded Retail, Private Label, QSR, and Food Service.

You'll be at the centre of delivering NPD projects, building strong cross-functional relationships, and working with external partners to ensure projects are scoped, executed, and delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

What You'll Be Doing
  • Lead and deliver product development projects that drive sustainable, profitable growth.
  • Manage both customer-led initiatives and innovation-driven projects.
  • Assess and scope new business opportunities, including feasibility and costing.
  • Ensure projects align with operational capability and profitability drivers.
  • Collaborate effectively across teams to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Stay ahead of industry trends to identify and recommend future innovation opportunities.
  • Apply structured project management processes to achieve successful outcomes.
What You'll Bring
  • A tertiary qualification in Food Technology, Manufacturing, Operations Management, or a related discipline.
  • 5+ years' experience in Product Development, including NPD and project management in a manufacturing or operations environment.
  • Strong organisational and self-management skills.
  • Solid analytical ability and financial acumen, including experience in costing and feasibility assessments.
  • Knowledge of food quality systems and FSANZ food legislation.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and build strong relationships across all levels of the business.
