As the Design Lead - Facilities, you will provide people and technical leadership to Wellington Water's design teams. You will play a key role in supporting external facilities design projects as well as deliver projects with internal resources appropriate to your team's capabilities.

With your strong team leadership skills, you will help staff strive for excellence and foster an organisational culture based on collaboration, innovation, learning and high performance.You will get to:Provide a clear vision and direction for the design facilities teamInfluence in setting the future facilities design standards at Wellington WaterProvide high quality technical advice to WW clients and internal teamsBe a key connector between delivery and operations in the area of facilities projectsGrow and develop capability in your area including tutoring younger engineersBuild strong relationships and foster an environment of collaboration.About youTo be successful in this role you will bring:A Bachelor of Engineering or Diploma in Engineering (preferably civil, process or mechanical engineering) CPEng highly desiredIdeally 10+ years' post qualification experience in water infrastructure design and delivery engineeringStrong technical knowledge across Three Waters facilities engineering designAbility to facilitate collaboration across the organisation and with panel suppliersStrong coaching and mentoring skillsSelf-motivation and desire for personal continuous learning.BenefitsAt Wellington Water, our purpose extends beyond delivering great water services for the region; we foster a thriving community, support a diverse workforce, and offer supportive development opportunities.
