Assistant cook

Assistant Cook is responsible to Assist and Support all other chefs and cooks in the Kitchen. Basic tasks are washing & cutting vegetables, Meats, storing supplies, and cooking basic food items. Cleaning kitchen utensils, Dishes and other equipment’s.

• Assist the chefs and cooks to set up different cooking stations before and During Service.
• Ensure timely preparation and task assigned by the other kitchen staffs.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Support the other chefs in Prepping and Cooking basic food items, Such as Fries, Fish and chips, fried snacks and Plating desserts etc.
• Clean and organize preparation area and workstation on daily basis.
• Clean Dishes, Utensils and other kitchen equipment’s as required.
• Follow sanitation, and hygiene regulations as trained by the kitchen staffs.
• Properly store and label ingredients according to the designated area.

Job requirements:

• Having minimum of 1 year of Commercial kitchen experience.
• Must be available to work weekends, Split shifts, Public holidays and overtime

• You must be a Citizenship of New Zealand or have a valid open work visa or residency to be considered.
