We are seeking Casual Support Workers available to work Monday–Friday between 7:00am and 10:00pm, and Saturday–Sunday between 7:00am and 7:00pm, across East, South, West, and the North Shore of Auckland.

In these roles you, will you be a support system and a catalyst for a more fulfilling life for our clients. If you have experience in aged care, rehab, mental health, disability support and in safely using hoists and lifting equipment, this could be your chance to shine.

Experience supporting children and adults with intellectual disabilities, autism spectrum disorder (ASD), and sensory needs would be advantageous, though not essential. We are seeking someone with empathy, a positive can-do attitude, and a genuine desire to work with children with disabilities in a home-based environment.

What does a Phoenix Healthcare Support Worker do?

The support you provide will include:

  • Personal Care Assistance (showering, dressing, toileting and bowel and bladder care)
  • Giving medications
  • Community Integrations
  • Household Management (cleaning and meal preparation)
  • Helping clients live their best life by supporting them to achieve their personal goals

To thrive in Support Working role, you will have:
  • A minimum Level 3 or 4 qualification in Health and Wellbeing, or an equivalent from another country, is beneficial but not essential. We also welcome applicants who may not hold formal qualifications but have relevant previous experience.
  • Good spoken English.
  • Ability to pass a police vet.
  • A full NZ Driver’s License and a reliable vehicle.
  • Having a current First Aid Certificate is a bonus, and if you don’t have one, we can help you obtain it.
  • Flexibility opens doors to more shifts! We have a variety of shifts (including covers, sleepovers, wake overs and weekend shifts).

Please note that the 90-day trial period will apply to any successful applicant who has not previously worked for Phoenix Healthcare Group.
