We are seeking a highly organised and professional Executive Assistant & Board Secretary to support management and the Board of Directors. This pivotal role requires someone who can operate with discretion, efficiency, and cultural awareness while ensuring smooth governance processes and executive support.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-level executive assistance to the Executive Director, including diary management, travel arrangements, correspondence, and meeting preparation.
  • Serve as Board Secretary, ensuring all governance requirements are met, including board papers, minutes, and compliance obligations.
  • Manage communication and information flow between the Board, Executive Director, and wider organisation.
  • Support the planning and coordination of key events, hui, and stakeholder engagements.
  • Uphold Ngati Awa values and tikanga in all aspects of the role.
Skills and Experience
  • Proven experience as an Executive Assistant, Board Secretary, or in a similar governance support role.
  • Strong organisational, communication, and relationship management skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
  • High level of professionalism, integrity, and discretion with sensitive information.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and document management systems.
  • Knowledge of te ao Maori, tikanga, and te reo Maori will be a distinct advantage.
