Product Owner & Business Analyst
Plus, you get to define detailed specifications in collaboration with our UX team, and work closely with the engineering team to deliver the solutions too.
This is a role that goes beyond merely managing sprints and schedules, with limited scope and minimal impact? In this position, you will own the delivery process using our version of Shape Up, while also fostering a positive and productive culture within the cycle team.Each cycle team consists of you, a UX designer, two engineers, and one QA specialist, collaborating to deliver meaningful features in just six weeks!

A typical day might include:
- Have a chat with the Product Managers to discuss how a new feature will deliver on our strategic objectives for the business.
- Have a chat with Engineering to investigate how a new feature can be best implemented and document some specifications to ensure it is well understood.
- Bring together a team working on a cycle to check everyone is aligned, there are no blockers and any outstanding decisions are being worked on.
- Set the plan and direction for a cycle of work, and plan the necessary launch activities needed for release.
- We work in what we call Cycles, which can last for a given amount of time - like 6 weeks. Each cycle has a dedicated team to design, develop and test solutions that have been recommended to the business by Product Managers. You'll be responsible for setting the objective for a cycle, and pitching in to ensure the work is productive and efficient and delivers to Tradify’s high standard. You’ll also be planning releases and activations, planning launch activities, designing tracking and analytics, and validating any experimental aspects of the cycle.
Requirements
You’re going to be a great fit for this job if you:
- Have a bachelor's degree plus several years experience in project management, business analysis, information architecture or an equivalent combination of relevant education and experience.
- Extensive experience of leading and motivating design and development practices within a UX design or digital product or services company.
- Have a great understanding of the concepts of product development, and user experience design as they relate to digital product and service design.
- Have a foundation of software engineering fundamentals such as database models, and software architecture.
- Love coordinating and planning work, orchestrating teams to do amazing things.
- Enjoy participating in a high performance team-oriented environment to deliver sophisticated digital solutions.
- Can serve as a subject matter expert as well as coach others in project management, delivery and release planning and launch activity.
- Are highly organised with great attention to detail.
- Have excellent written and verbal communications skills.
- Believe that tradies do important work and that supporting them to success is an awesome job.
