Queenstown - Restaurant Managers

Job Description

We are looking to fill 5 Restaurant Manager positions across our busy restaurants.

• You will drive outstanding Quality, Service, & Cleanliness(QSC) and are responsible for the overall profitability, sales, people development, food safety & operations of the restaurant, whilst ensuring every customer has a memorable McDonald’s experience.
• You are the leader of the restaurant & you work closely with your management team to coordinate the various functions & systems that are critical to the success of the Restaurant.
• You are in charge of the restaurant & accountable for all decisions made & results achieved.
• You lead by example, enforce & comply with restaurant safety & security standards which includes

investigating all incidents & taking corrective actions to ensure a safe working environment for all.

• Support the PACE cycle & execute action plans
• Utilise Shift Management evaluation tools to effectively identify QSC performance issues
• Comply with all Food Safety minimums, identifying any opportunities to coach employees on
• Create a Maccas Experience culture & exhibit the required behaviours for the delivery of exceptional customer service

• Succession planning
• Seeking opportunities to coach & develop your management team. Resolve performance opportunities and conduct management performance reviews
• Hold manager meetings to ensure the restaurant remains focused on goals, as well as providing business updates
• Effectively creating management schedules that adhere to the management rostering principles
• Responsible for achieving all people minimums as per legal requirements in NZ

• Conduct weekly catch ups with each Department Manager, working with them to ensure system targets are clearly identified, communicated & achieved within the restaurant
• Achieve restaurant profit & growth targets

• Create a business plan to grow sales through guest counts
• Successful implementation of new operating platforms & business initiatives
• Identify ways to connect with community

• completed all McDonald’s Management Courses up to LGR or equivalent, as well as the relevant Post Course Action Plan.
• or a minimum of completing AYL and attending at least one Department course as well as a year’s experience being in charge of a McDonald’s Restaurant as an acting Restaurant Manager.
• The customer will be the centre of everything you do, and as such, achieving high levels QSC&V will be the foundation of everything you do.
• You will have great people skills, and be able to communicate clearly and effectively with customers and staff.
• Energy and ketchup will flow through your veins, ensuring you give your absolute best on every shift.

Minimum guaranteed hours: 30 weekly, including weekends and night shifts.

Location note

We own five restaurants in Gore, Invercargill and Queenstown. This role will require travel and work across these locations, in Otago and Southland.
