Queenstown - Assistant Restaurant Managers
We are looking for 5 Assistant Restaurant Managers to support the Restaurant Managers in our busy McDonald's restaurants (Queenstown Camp St, Queenstown Frankton, Invercargill Dee St, Invercargill Elles Road, Gore.
Requirements
Applicants must have McDonald’s Shift Manager qualifications (AYL or equivalent) and either, • attended the CEC, PQC or PPC training courses (or equivalent), • or a year’s experience in managing one or more Departments in a McDonald’s restaurant.
- The customer will be the centre of everything you do, and as such, achieving high levels QSC&V will be the foundation of every shift you run and the Departments you lead.
- You will have great people skills, and be able to communicate clearly and effectively with customers and staff.
- Energy and ketchup will flow through your veins, ensuring you give your absolute best on every shift.
- Honesty and integrity are values that you hold high, and the way in which you work and present yourself will be based around these values.

Job Description
The Assistant Restaurant Manager is responsible for leading outstanding QSC&V, sales, people practices and profit on their shifts. The Assistant Restaurant Manager is a senior leader of the restaurant, ensuring that the shift runs smoothly & safely, engaging the managers and crew to deliver great business outcomes.- Leads the shift and department(s) in line with McDonald’s Policies & Procedures to serve delicious food.
- Welcome every customer with a genuine connection & smile, looking for ways to create, role model & foster memorable moments.
- Use initiative & confidence when interacting with customers and look for ways to say ‘Yes’. Lead by example, offer solutions, think outside the box & keep the team & yourself up to date with knowledge on food, promotions & other communications.
- Work at the pace of the customer, be patient & adaptable, look to resolve customer enquiries & provide support to the crew.
- Set a high standard & promote having a clean & safe restaurant, to ensure comfort, hygiene & convenience to customers, staff & peers.
Support the Restaurant Manager by leading the strategy and action plans for the organisation to achieve sustained and profitable growth
QSC&V
Encourage staff to work in a safe manner by demonstrating positive behaviours and promoting the adherence to safety and security policies and procedures
Sales
Create strategies to balance day-to-day activities with long-term restaurant business plans. Develops and monitors plans for executing projects on time and within budget.
People
Understand, role model and educate the team on relevant McDonald’s Policies (Respectful Workplace Policy, Social Media Policy), labour laws, security and safety procedures.
Health and Safety
Proactively manages health and safety within the guidelines of the relevant policies and procedures and by following reporting guidelines for accidents, hazards and potential hazards.
Pay and HoursPay rate: $27.90 - $30 per hour.
Minimum guaranteed hours: 30 weekly, including weekends and night shifts.
Location Note
We own five restaurants in Gore, Invercargill and Queenstown. This role will require travel and work across these locations.
