Coil Processing Operator - Auckland

About the Role
In this hands-on role, you’ll operate slitters, mini slitters, forklifts, and assist in the efficient and safe processing of steel coils. This is a full-time, day shift role working 8 hours per day. Start times range between 6:00–7:00am, with finish times between 2:30–3:30pm, depending on the shift schedule.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Operating coil processing machinery (slitters, mini slitters)
- Loading and unloading trucks, and moving coils and materials
- Performing basic machine maintenance and troubleshooting
- Conducting quality checks on processed and incoming materials
- Maintaining a clean and organised work area
- Adhering strictly to all health and safety protocols
- Assisting with inventory and stocktaking
- Packing customer orders and supporting dispatch
- Willingness to learn and operate machinery confidently
- A strong work ethic and attention to detail
- A safety-first mindset – you follow the rules and look out for others
- Great communication and teamwork skills
- Experience in a manufacturing, warehousing or machine operator role is a plus
- Forklift licence preferred (or a willingness to get one)
- Overhead crane experience is a plus
