Reporting to the Charge Nurse Manager, a PCA’s duties can vary day to day, depending on the needs of the department. This could include greeting and welcoming patients and whanau in a professional and friendly manner, working on specific administrative tasks, or providing general support to clinics.
The PCA also works under the supervision of a Registered Nurse to provide support and care to patients, with the overall goal of enhancing the patient experience.
