Contracting Assistant Manager/2IC

Dairy Holdings Ltd is a South Island based dairy farming operation with over 60 dairy farms and over 20 support blocks which has been operating for over 25 years. Key tasks include but are not limited to:

• To assist with the day-to-day running of the Machinery/Spraying Operations, ensuring that every step is taken to help it operate in the safest, most efficient, and cost-effective manner possible.
• Lead by example with health and safety with the team. Ensuring safety, health, wellbeing and environmental efforts across the operations are viewed as the highest priority.
• Establishing winter crops, re-grassing to helping with a range of jobs supporting the Dairy Holdings family of farms.
• Fill in as a machine operator, assist in the workshop or complete other work as required.
• Assist with ensuring ground preparation is at an optimal standard throughout to get the best results for yield/crop growth.
• Managing plant and machinery to maximise the profitability per hectare within the available resources.
• Ensure contracting work is recorded within job scheduling and the proof of placement technology. (Greenlight, Hawkeye and Tracmap)

The successful applicant will be required to undergo a drug and alcohol test, and criminal background check as part of the pre-employment screening. You must be able to obtain and maintain a relevant visa to work in New Zealand to be considered for this role.
