The clients we support have physical disabilities and/or intellectual disabilities ranging from Autism, Down Syndrome to Global Development Delay.
This job is ideal for a support worker who has initiative and enjoy taking a flexible approach to supports each day. A typical day involves taking clients out to activities, providing respite for families and providing companionship.- Are you able to commit to a client(s) for an extended period of time?
- Are you willing to continually up skill your knowledge by attending information and training opportunities?
- Are you able to work within a framework that celebrates the strengths of the client and proactively supports them to live their good life?
- Are you able to work in a role that is akin to a combination of life-coaching, support work, companionship and being motivational?
- Do you have your own vehicle and a driver's license?
