About the role
We are seeking an experienced Bar Manager to join our team at Mission Bay Tap Room in the vibrant seaside location of Mission Bay, Auckland. As our Bar Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the smooth and efficient operation of our busy bar, ensuring exceptional customer service and maximising sales and profitability.This is a full-time position.
What you'll be doing- Effectively managing and leading a team of bartenders and bar staff
- Developing and implementing strategies to improve bar performance and increase revenue
- Maintaining strict control over stock and inventory management
- Ensuring compliance with all relevant licensing and health and safety regulations
- Providing outstanding customer service and creating a welcoming atmosphere
- Conducting research and development into domestic and international trends
- Monitoring and analysing sales data to identify trends and opportunities
- Implementing staff training programmes to upskill the team
- Collaborating with the food & beverage team to deliver a seamless customer experience
- Minimum 3 years' experience as a Bar Manager or in a similar senior role within the hospitality industry
- Strong leadership and people management skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team
- Excellent customer service orientation and ability to provide a high-quality experience
- Proficient in stock control, inventory management and financial reporting
- Knowledge of liquor licensing laws and health & safety regulations
- Strong problem-solving, decision-making and multitasking capabilities
- Passion for the hospitality industry and a commitment to delivering exceptional results
