We are seeking a Specialty Clinical Nurse to join our dedicated team in Tairāwhiti, making a real difference in the health and safety of our community.As a Specialty Clinical Nurse Specialist in Infection Prevention and Control, you will work with our Clinical Nurse Specialist to:Provide expert, evidence-based advice and leadership across our healthcare services, directly impacting patient outcomes and staff safety.Lead the development, implementation, and evaluation of our Infection Prevention and Control (IPC) programme, ensuring compliance with national standards and best practiceAct as a key advisor and educator, supporting staff and stakeholders through consultation, training, and ongoing professional developmentMonitor and analyse infection data, conduct surveillance, and lead outbreak management and pandemic planning initiativesCollaborate with multidisciplinary teams, fostering a culture of quality improvement, safety, and innovationAbout the Team/Service/ LocationGisborne Hospital is part of Te Whatu Ora Tairāwhiti, where our small, close-knit teams are committed to delivering high-quality care to our local community.
