Administrator / Personal Assistant
On Site Mechanical Repairs Ltd is looking for a capable, organised and down-to-earth Administrator / Personal Assistant to join our team.
Our current Administrator is heading off on an exciting overseas adventure, creating a great opportunity for someone new to step into this important part-time role and become a key part of the OSMR team.
OSMR provides mechanical and engineering repairs across a wide range of industries throughout the Top of the South Island, including forestry, construction, transport, power generation and marine. We are a practical, hardworking team that takes pride in quality workmanship, reliability, integrity and doing things properly - Do it once.Do it right.
About the Role:
This is a varied role supporting the day-to-day running of the office and providing administrative and PA support to the directors, service manager and wider team. You will help keep the business organised, customers informed and internal systems running smoothly.
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing PA and administrative support to the directors and management team
- Answering phone calls and responding to customer and supplier enquiries
- Managing emails, bookings, appointments and general office coordination
- Assisting with job records, workflow administration and scheduling support
- Preparing documents, correspondence and reports
- Supporting invoicing, accounts administration and basic finance processes
- Maintaining accurate records, files and databases
- Assisting with general HR, health and safety and compliance administration as required
About You:
We are looking for someone who is reliable, practical and confident working in a busy environment. You will enjoy being organised, following things through and being the person others can count on.
You will ideally bring:
- Previous experience in administration, PA, office support or customer service
- Strong organisation and time management skills
- Excellent communication skills - written and verbal
- Good attention to detail and accuracy
- Confidence using Microsoft Office, Outlook and general business systems
- A friendly, professional and calm manner
- The ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks
- Discretion when handling confidential information
- A practical, can-do attitude
Experience in a trades, mechanical, engineering, transport or service-based business would be helpful, but it is not essential. The right attitude and team fit are just as important.
