Your Role as a Chef de Partie
You will play a pivotal role in our kitchen’s success. Our kitchen is fast-paced, but we never compromise quality for speed — or speed for quality. We are looking for chefs who are skillful, dynamic, and efficient.
You will work closely with our Executive Chef (Owner) and Sous Chef to plan and execute delicious, imaginative dishes while maintaining the highest standards of quality and consistency.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist the Head Chef and Sous Chef in daily kitchen operations.
Prepare and cook à la carte dishes to a high standard.
Lead and manage sections including grill, fryers, larder, stove (pans), and Middle Eastern kebab and shawarma stations.
Prepare and present exceptional dishes with consistency and care.
Demonstrate efficiency during service (including fast and precise kebab wrapping).
Oversee kitchen operations in the absence of the Head Chef or Sous Chef.
Maintain strict adherence to food safety and hygiene regulations.
Understand Mediterranean cuisine and fusion elements including Middle Eastern, South Asian, European, and South American styles.
Cater to dietary requirements including Halal, vegan, vegetarian, gluten-free, and other special diets.
Train and guide kitchen hands in preparation, hygiene, and food handling.
Maintain high performance during peak service times (producing over 100 meals in 90 minutes).
Be available to work 5–6 days per week, including split shifts.
What We Are Looking For
Minimum 3 years’ experience as a Demi Chef or Chef de Partie in a restaurant or hotel.
Strong English communication skills (our front-of-house team is Kiwi-based).
Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a busy, multi-fusion kitchen.
Creative and innovative culinary skills.
Up-to-date knowledge of food trends and modern cooking techniques.
Solid understanding of food safety and sanitation standards.
A positive attitude and strong teamwork skills.
