About the Role
If you are a Registered Nurse ready to grow your career in a fastpaced, patientcentred specialty, this is the position for you.
You will play a key role in delivering holistic, culturally grounded nursing care in true partnership with patients and whanau upholding the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi in every interaction. As part of our Endoscopy Model of Care, youll support patients through every stage of their journey: preprocedure, procedure room, recovery, and postop care.We now specialise in the following services in the endoscopy unit, so its a great opportunity for you to expand your skills in this speciality area.
ERCPEBUS
Bronchoscopy
ESD (Endoscopic Mucosal Dissection)
Small bowel video capsule endoscopy
EUS (Endoscopic Ultrasound)
This is a permanent full time position (40hours per week), you will be required to participate in the 7-day and on-call roster.

The Endoscopy team at Whangarei Hospital is a dedicated and skilled group providing both acute and planned care in a supportive and collaborative manner. We pride ourselves on delivering safe, patient-focused services in a dynamic clinical environment.

About you
We are looking for a motivated and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our endoscopy team, utilising your professional knowledge and skills to provide a holistic approach to nursing care that is safe and of the highest quality possible.
Requirements:
Registered Nurse with a current practicing certificateCurrent PDRP
Sound understanding of GI symptoms, diagnosis, treatment and health education
Recent clinical experience in endoscopy specialty, theatre or surgical nursing is desirable however training will be provided
Demonstrated leadership skills
Excellent communication skills
Whilst not essential, IV cannulation designation and/or a Post graduate certificate/diploma in the relevant area is desirable.
