If you feel you have lost your 'spark' and want to get back to delivering personalised nursing care to your patients this could be the opportunity for you.We have a position available for a motivated Registered Nurse who will deliver patient centred Hospital in the Home (HiTH) care to patients across the mid North district.
This role is based at Bay of Islands Hospital and is a permanent part-time position. You will share a 7 day roster working between the hours of 8am and 1630. Click here to view the position description.About the Team/Service/LocationHospital in The Home (HiTH) is a short time limited acute episode of hospital care that is delivered in a patients preferred place of residence.
It provides access to specialist acute care that is equivalent to a patient occupying an inpatient bed and includes access to hospital specialists, nursing and to all diagnostic services and medications.For more information on living and working in Northland, click hereAbout youRegistration with the Nursing Council of New Zealand (NCNZ) and a current Annual Practicing Certificate (APC)New Zealand nursing experience in specialist acute care settings with demonstrated ability to work at top of nursing scope utilising high acuity clinical skills and excellent patient assessment and critical thinking skills.Ability to work collaboratively within the multidisciplinary team with good knowledge of health related services that are offered across the mid North district.Great communication skills to ensure patients understand medication/treatment and condition and instructions provided.
Proven ability to work alongside whanau to support Hospital in the Home care.Current full NZ drivers licence and confident driving across a variety of terrainsDemonstrated ability to be flexible and adaptable with an ability to think on your feet.Willing to contribute to the development of a new service and to help with the formation of a new teamWorking at Health New ZealandHealth New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora is dedicated to ensuring excellent healthcare for the people of New Zealand.
