Job Description

We are looking to fill 5 Shift Manager positions in our busy restaurants.
The Manager is responsible for delivering outstanding QSC&V, sales, people practices and profit on their shifts. When running a shift unsupervised, the Manager is the leader of the restaurant, ensuring that the shift runs smoothly & safely, engaging the crew to deliver great business outcomes.
  • Leads the shift and department in line with McDonald’s Policies & Procedures to serve delicious food.
  • Welcome every customer with a genuine connection & smile, looking for ways to create, role model & foster memorable moments.
  • Use initiative & confidence when interacting with customers. Lead by example, offer solutions, think outside the box & keep the team & yourself up to date with knowledge on food, promotions & other communications.
  • Work at the pace of the customer, be patient & adaptable, look to resolve customer enquiries & provide support to the crew.
  • Set a high standard & promote having a clean & safe restaurant, to ensure comfort, hygiene & convenience to customers, staff & peers.

Requirements

We are looking for individuals with McDonald's Management Training, including (but not limited to) having attended at least the first McDonald's Management Course, either in NZ or abroad, as well as having completed the relevant post course action plan.
  • The customer will be the centre of everything you do, and as such, achieving high levels QSC&V will be the foundation of every shift you run.
  • You will have great people skills, and be able to communicate clearly and effectively with customers and staff.
  • Energy and ketchup will flow through your veins, ensuring you give your absolute best on every shift.
  • Honesty and integrity are values that you hold high, and the way in which you work and present yourself will be based around these values.

Pay and hours
  • Pay rate: $26.65 - $29.66 depending on experience and qualifications
  • Minimum guaranteed hours: 30 weekly, including weekends and night shifts

Location Note

We own five restaurants in Gore, Invercargill and Queenstown. This role will require travel and work across these locations, in Otago and Southland
