About the Role
You will work within the CCHV Hospital Network programme leading the communications and engagement strategy to ensure effective communication within and outside the programme and associated projects.
You will be responsible for internal communications, stakeholder engagement, risk mitigation, change communications, progress updates, and information gathering to support successful project delivery and manage emerging communication issues.
You will be a key member of the programme and project teams and work closely with HNZ teams across Hospital and Specialist Services (HSS), the Infrastructure and Investment (IIG) Group, and Health New Zealand Communications and Engagement team members.The salary for this position is $104,179 to $130,179, depending on expertise, expertise and knowledge.
About the Team/Service Location
Health New Zealand Capital Coast Hutt Valley District is planning for, and implementing, significant change across a number of infrastructure, service and operational change programmes. The Hospital Network Programme is developing our network of hospitals across the district.The immediate focus is on the Wellington Regional Hospital ED Refurbishment project (Front of Whare) that will relocate and expand our Emergency Department and acute services on the Wellington Regional Hospital site. It is major multi-year infrastructure project, involving significant change for our services, staff and patients.
The longer-term focus involves planning for future development of our hospital sites and services.
About you
You will have:
- A relevant tertiary qualification, preferably in a related area (PR, communications, journalism, marketing, commerce), or relevant workforce experience.
- Experience at a senior level in the healthcare or public services sector
- Demonstrable experience developing effective strategies and work plans that deliver on objectives
- Ability to demonstrate competency in written and oral communications, for varied audiences
- Relationship building skills - ability to build strong links with internal and external stakeholders
- Energy and enthusiasm to lead change
