Housekeeper Team Leader

Ohana is seeking an experienced and motivated Housekeeper Team Leader to supervise and coordinate our housekeeping team, ensuring all cleaning and housekeeping tasks are completed efficiently, safely, and to the highest standard.

Key Responsibilities: Supervise and lead a team of housekeepers on a daily basis

Allocate tasks and manage workloads to meet operational requirements
Ensure cleaning standards, health and safety, and company procedures are consistently met
Conduct training, mentoring, and performance monitoring of staff
Inspect rooms and common areas to maintain quality standards
Manage stock levels and report maintenance or operational issues
Communicate with the Operations Manager regarding staff performance, operational issues, and client feedback
Handle complaints and inquiries related to housekeeping services
Maintain accurate records of housekeeping schedules, staff attendance, and completed tasks

Perform housekeeping duties as part of the team

Key Requirements: Minimum 2 years’ experience in housekeeping, with supervisory or team leadership experience

Current Full Driver’s License – Class 1 preferred.
Strong leadership and communication skills
Ability to train, motivate, and support team members
Good time management and organisational skills
Knowledge of health and safety and cleaning best practices

Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends if required

Applicant must be willing to travel to the designated location when requested. Flexibility and availability for travel are essential to meet project and operational needs.· Willing to work in multiple locations when necessary is a must: “Primary work location will be based in Lake Tekapo.

However, please note that there will be regular travel required within the Canterbury and Wellington region.

Pre employment drug testing is required; this will still apply even if testing has been completed before application.

What We Offer: Competitive hourly rate ranging from a minimum of $29.00 to a maximum of $31.00 per hour, depending on experience.

This role is offered on a permanent, full-time basis.
Minimum 30 hours of work is guaranteed per week
