About the Role

This full-time position (Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 4:00pm) offers a varied and interesting workload in a fast-paced logistics environment. This is a key role supporting the administrative functions of our busy transport and transitional/storage facility.

You’ll work closely with operations staff, customers, and government agencies to help ensure everything runs smoothly and compliantly.

In this role, you’ll be responsible for:
  • Managing and maintaining documentation related to RMP (Risk Management Programme) compliance
  • Ensuring all MPI (Ministry for Primary Industries) import/export requirements are met (training provided)
  • Entering and maintaining accurate data in systems such as Xero and Microsoft Excel
  • Assisting with payroll, accounts payable and receivable, and other general accounting functions
  • Supporting Health & Safety compliance, including record-keeping and staff reminders
  • Liaising with drivers, warehouse staff, clients, and external stakeholders
  • Performing general office administration and responding to queries promptly and professionally

What We’re Looking For

We’re seeking someone who is proactive, detail-oriented, and has a genuine interest in logistics and warehousing. You’ll thrive in a busy environment where no two days are the same and be comfortable managing multiple priorities at once.

Key skills and experience:
  • Previous experience in a similar administration role (logistics or warehousing preferred)
  • Understanding of RMP and MPI regulations is a strong advantage – but we will provide training
  • Competent using Xero, Excel, Outlook, and other Microsoft products
  • Experience with payroll, accounts, and data entry
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • A keen eye for detail and high level of accuracy
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • A positive attitude and willingness to learn
