About the role
Reporting to the Group Manager, Operations, this role supports maintain and actively participates in the development of our services, and to ensure we are operating effectively, efficiently in alignment with our business outcomes.
Core responsibilities are to ensure the successful operation, maintenance, renewal, improvements, new development and emergency management of the following infrastructure, assets and services; Drainage (Sewage Collection and Treatment Systems), Stormwater Collection Systems including aspects of the Greymouth Flood Scheme, Water Supply and Treatment Systems.
Other responsibilities include assisting the Assets Manager with maintenance of the asset management systems, maintenance system and deterioration modelling systems. The management of other paper and electronic management systems (eg database and spatial), for all areas of responsibilities.This role also provides provision of administration, forward planning, technical (design), contract preparation, tender evaluation and management of infrastructure, and provides advice on resource consent applications where assets are to be transferred to Council.
Skills and Experience for the role:- Site Traffic Management Supervisor desirable
- Experience in Project Cost Benefit Analysis
- A good level of technical and professional skills/knowledge about employment for people and employer obligations
- Able to produce reports to a high standard
- Experience in tender evaluations, investigations, inspections desirable
- A broad working knowledge of all the relevant statutes and regulations pertaining to the functions of a council
- Proven experience in project and staff leadership and management and public communication is essential.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office applications.
- Experience in project management is desirable..
