We’re looking for a motivated person to join our team as a Plumbing & Drainlaying Apprentice. This is your chance to earn while you learn, gain a trade qualification, and build a career in an industry with strong future demand.
About Us
We’re a busy plumbing and drainlaying business working across new builds and renovations Auckland-wide. Our work is varied, physical, and hands-on – from running wheelbarrows and digging trenches to breaking concrete and installing pipework.
The Role- Standard hours: 7:30am – 4:00pm, Monday to Friday
- Flexibility required: hours can run longer when deadlines are tight, with occasional weekend work if needed
- Physically demanding work outdoors and indoors
- Work in all kinds of weather – we don’t mind a bit of rain
- Training alongside qualified, experienced tradespeople
- Exposure to a wide variety of projects across Auckland
- Possibility of Out of Town Work - Christchurch, Taupo, Tauranga and Rotorua etc
- Full NZ Driver’s Licence (essential)
- NZ residency or valid right to work in NZ (essential)
- Reliable, punctual, and motivated to learn
- Someone able to handle demanding labour - running wheelbarrows, up and down scaffold and ladders, large sites, heavy lifting
- Positive attitude, good communication skills, and team player
- We know everyone makes mistakes (though we’d prefer you don’t!). If you screw up, you’ll learn how to fix it so it doesn’t happen again. Just take ownership, and we’ll get it corrected together.
- Full apprenticeship pathway to becoming a qualified plumber/drainlayer
- You’ll get hands-on with all aspects of plumbing and drainage – under-slab, first and second fix, renovations, drainage work, tank installs and the odd drain repair that makes us question our life choices. We don’t stick you in just one job type because learning it all sets you up for real success.
