About The Role
Mid North Farms is seeking an Operations Manager to help lead performance across its integrated farming business. Reporting directly to the CEO, this is a pivotal leadership role connecting farm operations with business strategy and ensuring strong, consistent performance across multiple dairy and livestock platforms.
Mentoring the Farm Managers and managing the Contracting Team, you will provide operational oversight, farming advice, and practical support to facilitate high-performing farm businesses. You will act as a technical sounding board, helping Farm Managers solve problems, strengthen farm systems, and lift operational capability.This role focuses on planning, coordination, performance improvement, and capability building, while maintaining a hands-on presence when needed. The position suits someone who thrives on the challenge of managing multiple moving parts across diverse farming operations, while supporting teams, improving systems, and driving results.

We are looking for an experienced farming leader who understands what high-performing farm businesses look like and enjoys supporting others to achieve strong results. You will bring:- Significant practical dairy farming experience, ideally across multi-farm operations
- A genuine passion for farming and growing successful operations
- A high level of ownership, initiative, and personal accountability
- A broad, well-rounded farming background combining hands-on experience with leadership responsibility
- Agility in forward-thinking environments requiring adaptability and practical decision-making
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to influence and support people at all levels
- Strong leadership, mentoring, and coordination capability
- The ability to manage multiple priorities while remaining calm and solutions-focused
- Curiosity, openness to new ideas, and a respectful team-first approach
- Sound analytical capability to support planning, budgeting, and farm system improvements.
