Fire Alarm Technician Wanted

Aotea Fire (NZ) Limited is a highly successful, well-established Fire Protection company and we are seeking Fire Alarm & Sprinkler Technicians to join our Team.

This position involves a wide variety of work for our high-profile and loyal clients.

As a fire technician, you will be required to perform all facets of the trade. As the role involves a wide variety of work, we are seeking individuals who are adaptable and keen to learn.

The successful applicant will offer:
  • Level 4 Fire Technician Qualification, or 4 years trade experience. However very serious consideration will be given to candidates with trade experience, and the opportunity will be given to gain the relevant qualifications.
  • NZ Driver's License.
  • Have a dedication to quality workmanship.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Be able to work autonomously and within a team.
  • Ability to self-manage, self-motivated, and be self-sufficient.
  • Must be able to develop strong client relationships.
  • New Zealand Resident or currently hold a New Zealand work visa.

The Fire Technician will be responsible for:
  • Efficiently, effectively and safely carry out all planned maintenance, reactive or remedial service work, fault diagnostics and installation works relating to Fire Protection Systems as requested/ instructed by the Operations Manager, Project Manager or supervisor.
  • Assisting to ensure all installation and maintenance work complies to NZ Standards.
  • At all times enthusiastically expedite all works in a professional and tradesman like manner to a level of quality that meets current accepted commercial/ industry standards.
  • Working unsupervised, or as part of a team, to deliver high quality Fire Protection trade service.
  • The Fire Technician is further responsible for ensuring a safe working environment for self, colleagues, customers, and the general public.
  • This position will require availability for afterhours work and emergency call support on a rotating basis.
