Devanner / Forklift Operator & All-Rounder

Reporting to the Warehouse Manager this role requires you to work in a small team, completing all tasks associated with the import and export of goods through our MPI & Customs bonded transitional facility.

Previous forklift or machinery experience in a similar role would be an advantage.

• Majority Monday to Friday 7am - 5pm. The odd early start or Saturday morning if and when required.
• Based in Christchurch out of our modern Woolston head office - MPI TF & Customs Bonded facility.
• Devanning and Loading of import and export containers. Hand unload and forklift unload.
• 3PL pick and pack.
• Operate Combi Lift and 16T Forklift.
• Load and Unload freight trucks.
• Use of the company warehouse management and transport management systems.
• Large variety of freight, Machinery, Timber, Vehicles, Pallets and cartons.
• Using reach truck on double deep bays to pick pallets.
• MPI Decontamination.
• General Warehouse labour & Admin duties as and when required

• Forklift licence with F and OSH endorsements. (With Minimum 1 Year operating experience).
• Proactive with a positive attitude.
• Be organised and reliable with strong time management skills.
• MPI AP Accreditation (Would be ideal but not necessary)
• Ability to adapt to change quickly and problem solve.
• Fit and healthy, some heavy lifting may be required whilst devanning hand unloads.
• Be a can do person - to be flexible to look after customers and colleagues
• Comfortable with computers - Outlook, Word, Excel and basic accounting software.
• Reliable Transport to get to and from work is a must.
• Fork hoist/Reach truck experience (Would be ideal but not necessary)
