Manufacturing Operator

We are on the hunt for Manufacturing Operators for CARTERS Frame and Truss Manufacturing plant in Cambridge for both the AM and PM Shift.

In this physical role you will fabricate frames and trusses with nail guns, meeting precise measurements and specifications from technical drawings for our valued building trade customers, whilst adhering to safety protocols and regulations.

Previous experience in a manufacturing environment or transferable hammerhand skills is desirable as will be your ability to operate automated cutting machines, manual saws, nail guns and ability to interpret plans.

About you

You will be the perfect fit for this role if have following skills, qualities, and certifications:
  • Experience in interpreting building technical drawings and specifications.
  • Experience in frame and truss manufacturing is advantageous.
  • Essential prior experience with power tools, hand tools, and nail guns.
  • Proficient in cutting materials, assembling, and fastening shaped parts.
  • Dependable and punctual
  • Comfortable with basic computer operations
  • Strong communication abilities
  • Physically capable of manual labour, as the role involves handling materials.
  • Positive attitude and eagerness to acquire new skills.
  • Ability to clear pre-employment medical and drug screening.
