About the Opportunity

Due to continued growth, an exciting opportunity is available for a Field Service Engineer based in Wellington, New Zealand. This role will see you supporting a broad range of laboratory and bioprocessing equipment across universities, research facilities and regulated manufacturing environments throughout New Zealand.

Working remotely, you will be responsible for installation, preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs and technical support across multiple product platforms. This position would suit someone who enjoys hands-on technical work, problem-solving and customer interaction, while being comfortable working autonomously in a field-based environment.

Duties
  • Installation and commissioning of laboratory and bioprocessing equipment
  • Preventative maintenance and servicing
  • Troubleshooting and repair work
  • Software and networking support
  • Remote technical support to customers
  • Managing service documentation and work orders
  • Supporting customers across research, academic and GMP environments
  • Travel throughout New Zealand with occasional Australian support/training
Skills & Experience
  • Previous field service, technical support or hands-on engineering experience
  • Background within scientific instrumentation, diagnostics, biomedical engineering, laboratory equipment or similar industries highly regarded
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Hands-on with a strong technical aptitude
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Comfortable working independently in a remote role
  • Flexible and willing to travel extensively
  • Full working rights within New Zealand required
  • Full drivers licence and own vehicle required
