If you love travel this is the role for you! This role will require travel across the New Zealand north and south island, based out of Auckland. You will be someone who is willing to travel with short notice when required.

At Stryker as aField Service Engineer, you’ll play a hands-on role in keeping our life-enhancing devices performing at their best. You’ll become a trusted partner to clinicians, ensuring equipment they rely on is safe, reliable, and ready when patients need it most.

What You Will Do

As the go-to technical expert for your region, you will:

  • Repair, service, and test Stryker’s electronic and mechanical devices to manufacturer and regulatory standards.
  • Deliver preventive maintenance, calibrations, and annual checks on equipment in hospitals and clinical settings.
  • Install systems and complete hardware and software upgrades at customer sites.
  • Diagnose and resolve technical issues quickly, ensuring minimal disruption to clinicians.
  • Manage your own schedule and regional travel with autonomy while meeting service commitments.
  • Partner with Customer Service to keep workflows smooth and customer expectations met.
  • Document all service activities accurately for compliance and full traceability.
  • Support internal teams and customers with technical advice and training.
  • Action recalls, field safety notices, and regulatory-driven field actions in collaboration with quality teams.
  • Identify and escalate insights on product performance and customer needs to drive continuous improvement.
What You Bring
Required
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Medical Electronics, Electrical, Electronic, Telecommunications, Mechanical, Software, Medical Physics, or a related technical field.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Strong hands-on technical capability and troubleshooting ability.
Preferred
  • Experience in medical devices, healthcare technology, or trade experience.
  • Excellent communication and customer-facing skills.
  • Ability to work independently and juggle multiple priorities.
