Maintenance Fitter / Engineer (Masterton)

The Role
Working dayshift (Mon – Fri 7am – 4pm) the Maintenance Fitter supports the 24 hour factory production team ensuring all machinery is operating at optimum requirements and correctly, all while adhering to all health & safety protocols!
Key Responsibilities- Carry out ongoing maintenance to ensure plant and machinery operate efficiently
- Respond promptly to production breakdowns
- Perform welding tasks as required (MIG, ARC, TIG – not all essential)
- Assist with proactive and preventative maintenance to minimise downtime
- Minimum 2 years’ experience as a Maintenance Fitter / Engineer or a similar role
- Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to problem-solve quickly!
- Proactive approach and solid fault-finding skills
- Welding experience is an advantage
- Electrical ticket is a bonus (but not essential)
