They form a critical part of the wider NCSC team defending national security, raising cyber resilience and facilitating digital transformation.The NCSC’s mission produces a unique working environment and team atmosphere. You will also be part of a broader community, with opportunities to work with our domestic agencies and international partners on important initiatives.The Cyber Resilience Unit:As part of our Unit, you will be working alongside other Cyber Resilience Analysts and Cyber Security Advisors to deliver key customer

An established Unit, the team is multi-disciplinary: Technical build team members, Vulnerabilities experts and Data Analysts.

The unit focus is on understanding the level of New Zealand’s cyber resilience and supporting the uplift of that resilience.The Cyber Resilience Analysts will be located within our growing Resilience Analysis and Reporting team.More about the Cyber Resilience Analyst role:Analysis and communication go hand-in-hand for this role.

You will be responsible for exploring available data to understand and explain it to a wider audience.
This could include understanding the strengths and weakness of the data itself or interpreting how we can meet stakeholder requirement using available data.

You will also be required to draw conclusions about the cyber resilience of organisations or sectors, helping to define meaningful reports to our customers and policy stakeholders.We are looking for individuals with a Data Analyst background who: Are critical thinkers capable of undertaking deep, objective analysis.

Have experience with analysis toolssuch as Power BI, Elastic, or Excel to derive insights from large data sets.
Can leverage an analytical background from any field while actively developing their cyber security expertise.
Are team playerswho thrive in a collaborative, supportive environment.
Demonstrate attention to detailand take pride in the quality and accuracy of their work.

Are flexible and adaptive, tailoring their approach to meet the evolving needs of our customers.

We are looking for candidates with a Data Engineering background who have: Knowledge and experience using Python and/or other scripting languages.

Experience developing solutions that process and manage large-scale data sets.
Experience designing, building, or maintaining scalable data pipelines (ETL/ELT) for structured and unstructured data.
Experience with Microsoft Azure services and an interest in automation workflows, scripting, and monitoring.Expected appointing salary:Level 1: $87,048
