Your duties will include being on an Emergency Management on call roster.You will get to:Oversee the development and implementation of region-wide social marketing and behaviour change campaignsOversee the management of our external channels and ensure these are well managed and used effectively to maintain public engagement with Wellington Water and our workSupport the development and implementation of new processes and frameworks as well as work to maintain existing ones to ensure the wider Communications and Engagement function is well supportedRecruit, coach, mentor and develop staff, and manage their day-to-day work and provide oversight to ensure the right outcomes and the needs of the business are metLead the development and implementation of communication and engagement strategies for a range of programmes of workSupport the team to identify key reputational risks and provide strategic communications advice and support to mitigate theseBuild and maintain strong working relationships with key journalists and media to support proactive and reactive media engagement.About youTo be successful in this role, you will bring:Demonstrated experience in leading a team to deliver high quality outcomesA tertiary qualification in communications, marketing, or another relevant fieldNive plus years' experience in providing strategic marketing communications and engagement planning and deliveryHigh quality writing and editing skills and experience in translating complex information into simple and clear communicationsExperience in strategic communications channels managementStrong experience with delivering effective large-scale marketing and communications campaigns to meet organisational outcomes.BenefitsAt Wellington Water, our purpose extends beyond delivering great water services for the region; we foster a thriving community, support a diverse workforce, and offer supportive development opportunities.
