**Korero mo te turanga - About the role**
Te?Herenga Waka - Victoria University of Wellington is currently recruiting Communications and Marketing Coordinator, Academic to join the Kotare - Communications Group on a fixed-term, full-time basis until 19 December 2025.
Key responsibilities:
- Support the promotion of new qualifications.
- Support the production of faculty marketing materials, for both print and digital channels.
- Source and produce interesting, diverse, high-quality content and stories from students, staff, and alumni.
- Provide general administrative and project support across the team.

You will be a motivated, highly organised person who takes initiative, pays attention to detail, meets deadlines, and understands the importance of clear, engaging communication. Your excellent interpersonal skills will be key to your success in this role, as you will be working with a wide range of people across a large and complex organisation.The role is busy, creative, and rewarding, ideal for someone with strong writing skills, curiosity, and a willingness to get involved in a broad range of projects. This position would suit someone in the early stages of their communications or marketing career, as there is some scope to shape the role around your interests and strengths.
Key requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in a relevant area.
- Strong writing, proofreading, and editing skills.
- Strong relationship-building skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of stakeholders.
- Proactive and well organised.
