Location and Role

Snug Lounge is on the hunt for a vibrant Chef de Partie to join the team.

The position available is permanent, full-time, with a minimum of 30 hours per week. The business is operational Monday to Sunday, so weekend work is required at times. Pay rate will be dependent on experience and qualifications.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Preparation of menu including cooking food items, following recipes, demonstrating techniques and advising on cooking procedures
  • Portioning and plating food, monitoring quality of dishes at all stages of preparation and presentation
  • Using high-quality ingredients, taste testing and evaluating food before service
  • Adhering to business and safety standards, storing food in temperature-controlled facilities, freezing and preserving food as required
  • Discussing food preparation processes with Managers, and relevant team members
  • Managing stock levels, placing orders, and maintaining inventories of food and equipment
  • Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control and costs

The Person

To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:
  • 2+ years experience in commercial kitchen (preferred)
  • A passion for hospitality
  • Willingness and desire to work as part of a busy team
  • Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control and costs
  • Positive and approachable manner
