Café Duty Manager Wanted

Join Our Team as a Duty Manager – Hampton Downs, Waikato!

If you’re passionate about great coffee, quality food, and creating an exceptional customer experience, we’d love to have YOU on our team! We are a busy, fast-growing café looking for a reliable and motivated Duty Manager to help lead our front-of-house operations.

Café Hours: Open 7 days a week

• At least 12 months of experience in a busy café or restaurant
• Previous duty manager or supervisory experience
• Strong communication skills and the ability to coordinate a team under pressure
• Excellent customer service and problem-solving skills
• Confident all-rounder in front-of-house operations
• Solid coffee knowledge including taste profiles, brewing techniques, and the ability to recommend products

• Oversee daily café operations, ensuring smooth and efficient service during your shift
• Lead and support FOH staff, including managing break schedules, task allocation, and performance during busy periods
• Deliver exceptional customer service, resolve complaints professionally, and maintain a welcoming environment
• Maintain cleanliness, food safety, and health & safety standards at all times
• Assist with stock management, ordering, and monitoring inventory levels
• Handle cashing up, POS duties, and end-of-day reconciliations
• Ensure consistent coffee and food quality by guiding the team and upholding café standards
• Act as the primary point of contact when the manager is not onsite
