We are seeking a highly skilled and passionate Thai Chef to join our vibrant kitchen team in the Waikato region. This is a great opportunity for someone who is committed, experienced, and dedicated to delivering authentic Thai flavours with consistency and professionalism.
Key Responsibilities:- Prepare and cook a full range of authentic Thai dishes to a high standard
- Maintain food quality, taste, and presentation across all menu items
- Manage prep, stock levels, and kitchen organisation
- Ensure excellent hygiene and food-safety practices at all times
- Work efficiently during busy service periods
- Contribute ideas for menu development and seasonal specials
- Minimum 5+ years of proven experience as a Thai chef
- Strong knowledge of Thai ingredients, spices, curries, and traditional techniques
- Ability to work independently and as part of a small team
- Reliability, good work ethic, and a positive attitude
- Must have a valid open work visa or NZ Permanent Residency
