Queenstown - Team Supervisor

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and supervise a team of landscape gardeners on-site.
• Coordinate daily job assignments and ensure timely completion of projects.
• Liaise with the owner to plan projects and allocate resources effectively.
• Ensure all work is carried out to a high standard and in line with design specifications.
• Monitor and enforce health and safety practices on-site.
• Train and mentor team members to build skill and efficiency.
• Maintain accurate records of hours, materials, and progress.
• Communicate with clients professionally when required.
• Operate landscaping machinery and tools as needed.
• Guaranteed 30 hours per week

Requirements:

• Minimum of 3 years' experience in a similar supervisory role within the landscaping or gardening industry.
• Proven experience managing a team of at least 5 staff members.
• Strong knowledge of landscape construction and maintenance practices.
• Strong knowledge of NZ Horticulture
• Excellent leadership and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to read and interpret landscape plans and drawings.
• Physically fit and comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Experience with landscape machinery and ability to train and induct new staff members on safe operating procedures of each.
• Valid driver’s license (required). Ability (and legal right) to drive manual preferred.
• Growsafe certified.
