Junior Project Manager / Site Supervisor - Queenstown

About the Role:We’re looking for an enthusiastic Junior Project Manager or Site Supervisor to join our Central Lakes team. This role is ideal for someone with a solid background in civil construction who’s ready to take the next step into project coordination, leadership, and site management.
You’ll work closely with the director and site foremen to help deliver utility infrastructure projects, support site teams, and ensure safety, planning, and quality standards are met. Expect a dynamic mix of field-based coordination, contractor liaison, and hands-on involvement when needed plus involvement in tendering and planning.
Key Responsibilities:- Assist with day-to-day project and site coordination for work sites (Utilities and Civil Site Works)
- Support crew planning, resource scheduling, and site documentation
- Monitor site progress, safety compliance, and quality assurance on projects
- Coordinate subcontractors and suppliers to ensure smooth daily operations
- Read and interpret plans, service drawings, and job specifications
- Communicate regularly with Project Managers, clients, and site teams
- Help troubleshoot site issues and maintain accurate records and reporting
- Full-time position with ongoing project pipeline in the Central Lakes region
- Hands-on development in civil project management and supervision

You might be a civil supervisor, site engineer, or experienced operator ready to move into a leadership or project management track. You enjoy working with people, solving problems on the fly, and keeping projects moving efficiently and safely.
You’re organised, proactive, and keen to keep learning.
What You’ll Bring:- Proven experience in civil site works or utilities
- Good working knowledge of construction methodologies and site practices
- Experience reading and interpreting service plans and technical drawings
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- WTR and/or Class 2 license beneficial (not essential)
- Health & Safety awareness and strong work ethic
- Comfortable with technology for reporting, plans, and coordination
- Excellent Quality Assurance standards and recording
