We specialise in cultivation, drilling, and baleage work across both our own properties and for clients throughout the region.

We’re looking for a practical and driven Operations Manager to lead our contracting division and help keep things running smoothly season-round.

Oversee day-to-day operations of the contracting business

Coordinate incoming jobs with the owners

Lead and support casual staff

Maintain machinery and ensure equipment is clean, safe and field-ready

Communicate with clients on job requirements and timing

Assist with farm work and R&M tasks on quieter or wet days

Uphold health and safety best practices

Work flexible hours during busy periods (with regular time off to balance)

Full NZ Class 1 driver licence (W endorsement preferred)

Good communication skills and a positive, team-focused attitude

Reliable, self-motivated, and able to work unsupervised

Sense of humour and a practical mindset

Previous machinery or contracting experience an advantage, especially with Greenstar and JD Ops Centre

Would suit a younger person willing to learn and progress, though all applications welcome

Competitive hourly rate with 40-hour retainer and overtime (pay negotiable)

Full-time, year-round employment (July to June)
