Head Chef
Within the beautiful Marlborough golf club Fairhall, Fairhall Green Bar and Bistro is seeking a professional head chef looking for an opportunity to shine and serve some great food in this new venue. With a diverse offering from casual dining to events, functions and catering this is an opportunity to be part of a special and long term project.
Ideally looking for a candidate that has experience across all areas of the kitchen, working with a close knit small team to ensure we are catering to large club events while also offering a full al a carte menu 5 lunch services and 2 dinner services per week.Open Wednesday - Sunday 10am-6pm and Friday and Saturday 10am-9pm.
Responsible forPlanning and designing menus in conjunction with owner.
Calculating costs and liaising with suppliers
Directing kitchen operations and managing kitchen staff
Overseeing the food preparation, cooking and cleaning processes
Cooking serving and ensuring a consistent offering for all guests
Delegating tasks and resolving issues as they arise
Ensuring compliance with hygiene and health and safety
Ensuring all ingredients are fresh and meet quality standards.
Ensuring service is smooth and at the highest possible standardAbility to be adaptable - events, catering events, club days and al a carte service.
