Job Description:We are seeking an experienced Foreman to join our residential building construction team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction management, excellent leadership skills, and a commitment to safety and quality. As a Foreman, you will oversee all aspects of residential construction projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate the work of construction workers, subcontractors, and other staff on-site.
- Create and maintain construction schedules, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and on time.
- Enforce safety protocols and regulations to maintain a safe working environment.
- Inspect work progress and finished structures to ensure compliance with building codes, regulations, and quality standards.
- Address any issues or challenges that arise during construction, finding effective solutions to keep the project on track.
- Communicate regularly with project managers, clients, and subcontractors to provide updates and address concerns.
- Maintain accurate records of work progress, materials used, and any incidents on-site.
- Promote teamwork and a positive work environment among construction crew members.
- Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and best practices.
- Previous experience as a Foreman or similar role in residential building construction.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team.
- Solid understanding of construction processes, techniques, and safety protocols.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Knowledge of relevant building codes and regulations.
- Ability to read and interpret construction plans.
- Proficiency in computer applications, such as Google Workspace
- Valid driver's license.
- Knowledge of the building code.
- Vast understanding of other trades.
