Fencer General - Centre Hill Farm
THE OPPORTUNITY
From operating tractors to tackling fencing projects, both new builds and repairs - you’ll play a hands-on role in keeping the farm running smoothly
As part of our tight-knit team, your days will be a mix of fencing, general maintenance, tractor work, and occasional stock handling. While the role is primarily focused on fencing and farm upkeep, there will be times you’ll be in the yards working with livestock.
Experience with stock is a bonus, but a willingness to learn and get stuck in is just as important.
THE FARM
Centre Hill Station is a stunning 4400-hectare property located just 10 minutes north of Mossburn and within an hour’s drive from Invercargill, Gore, Queenstown, and Te Anau.
The farm runs 33,000 stock units, including 17,000 Romney ewes and 1050 in-calf cows and heifers. Calves are carried through to yearlings, with majority of lambs finished on-farm and the remainder transferred to finishing properties.
The station is a unique 25km-long property featuring a mix of productive flats and rolling hill country, ideal for those who enjoy a variety of terrain and stock work. Centre Hill offers a balance of large-scale farming with a supportive, close-knit team environment.
ABOUT YOU
You’ll bring experience in a fencing and/or a repairs and maintenance role with a strong work ethic.
You’ll also have:
- A proactive and positive attitude
- Confidence in planning and leading daily farm activities
- Commitment to health, safety, and environmental standards
- A current full NZ driver’s licence
- A willingness to work as part of a team and to lead by example
