The Customer Service Manager plays a key leadership role in ensuring exceptional service delivery to Atkore Unistrut NZ’s clients. This individual will lead the customer service team and be responsible for managing day-to-day customer interactions, optimising service processes, and ensuring smooth coordination between sales, operations, and logistics.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the metal framing, mechanical, or electrical containment industry, with a deep understanding of customer needs and industry-specific service expectations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and mentor the Customer Service team to deliver high levels of service and responsiveness.
  • Manage order entry, processing, and fulfilment workflows to ensure timely and accurate delivery of products.
  • Serve as the escalation point for complex customer inquiries or complaints and resolve issues efficiently.
  • Collaborate with sales, logistics, and warehouse teams to ensure seamless customer experiences.
  • Monitor and report on key customer service metrics and implement process improvements as needed.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key clients to understand their requirements and expectations.
  • Train team members on product knowledge, ERP systems SAP, and customer interaction best practices.
  • Drive a culture of continuous improvement, efficiency, and customer-first thinking.
  • Ensure compliance with the company

Qualifications and Experience

Essential:
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in customer service leadership roles.
  • Strong background in the metal framing, mechanical, or electrical containment industry.
  • Experience working with SAP, Groundplan, Salesforce
  • Exceptional communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Strong commercial acumen and customer relationship management skills in the Construction environment.
Preferred:
  • Tertiary qualification in Business, Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Experience with inventory, warehousing, or logistics operations.
