We are on the lookout for a passionate and committed leader to take over the reins from our centre manager, who is moving out of town, and continue the great work the team are doing.

The position requires you to support, teach and lead the team, have strong relationships with whanau, ensure the centre continues to operate as a high performing centre and that the sustainability-based philosophy is embedded in all aspects of the centre operations.

As manager, you will role model excellent leadership qualities, inspiring and motivating others to do the same. Reporting to an General Manager, you will be passionate about delivering amazing learning outcomes for our children and you'll take pride in the smooth day-to-day operation of the centre!

Being a great communicator and building fantastic relationships will be in your DNA.

Role requirements:
  • B Ed/Dip Teaching Level 7 (ECE or Primary) and current teacher certification
  • Demonstrate good knowledge of the current ECE Regulations, Te Whariki and hold compliance in a high regard
  • A strong commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi through pedagogical practices
  • Excellent leadership and mentoring skills
  • A passion for building meaningful relationships with tamariki, whanau and kaiako
  • Have a strong interest in sustainability, the natural environment and supporting the team with providing learning opportunities that extend beyond the centre and out into the wider community
  • A strong knowledge and understanding of planning and assessment and self review
  • Have a growth mindset, focused on solutions.
