We fulfil the cyber security responsibilities of the Government Communications Security Bureau (GCSB) | Te Tira Tiaki, and provide cyber security services to all New Zealanders – from individuals and small businesses and organisations up to large enterprises, government, and critical national infrastructure.

Own Your Online is NCSC’s platform for everyday New Zealanders and small to medium businesses.About the roleWe’re looking for a passionate marketing expert who will contribute to Own Your Online and NCSC content and advice through our public-facing communications channels, in a way that gets attention and sparks conversation.In this role you will be our social media subject matter expert and contribute to the voice of NCSC and Own Your Online channels on Instagram, Facebook and LinkedIn, work with your team to help promote the NCSC’s work to a range of different audiences through all of our marketing and communication channels, have the opportunity to work on a number of different marketing and communication activities on an important subject area for New Zealand, and access great development and learning opportunities and be at the forefront of cyber security marketing and communication in New Zealand.Who we’re looking for Must have experience working with and promoting a number of marketing channels including social media.

Experience in developing visual assets for use on social media channels. i.e. experience using Canva, and/or Adobe products. Ideally some experience in developing communication plans and/or social media content plans. Ideally experience in helping translate complex topics into digestible content for different audiences.The expected appointment range for this role is $87,048 - $92,851 per annum.Before you applyWorking within our unique environment means we have to ensure you're eligible for employment.You must: Have been a New Zealand Citizen for at least 10 yearsORHold a current NZ Residency Class Visa and ideally have been a citizen of the UK, USA, Canada or Australia for at least 10 years Be eligible to obtain a Top Secret Special (TSS) security clearance Ordinarily, this means you'll have a 15 year checkable background in countries NZSIS Vetting can make meaningful and reliable checks.
